Things are moving and shaking in the LED field. Winstar Lighting Technologies is eager to report the latest news. Three companies within the industry have announced some great new products. Here are the details:
• Samsung: Samsung now provides an exterior LED automotive lighting solution in a chip-scale package (CSP). It took some time for the forward-facing CSP option to gain a foothold in the market, but its acquiring ground since its success in mobile phones. It wasn’t long before it was offered in other lighting products.
• Lumileds: This company has added to its roster of color LEDs. It now offers deep red, far red, and mint. At Winstar Lighting Technologies, we think these are some great new colors! Lumileds has upped performance standards as well. Their bulbs are used successfully in a number of ways. Jennifer Holland is a product manager there. She said, “We’re delivering seamless color mixing and the right colors for every application, including audio and stage lighting, architectural lighting, emergency vehicle lighting as well as color-tunable lamps/fixtures.”
• Cree: Cree has launched a new color LED upgrade. It’s designed primarily for horticultural use, such as indoor farms. Customers can make the most of this upgrade without any additional modifications or investments. They can simply use existing design elements when boosting performance.
