Winstar Lighting Technologies Discuss Arena LEDs

Allentown is located in Pennsylvania’s thriving Lehigh Valley region. It is home to the popular PPL Center where visitors to this arena have been noticing some upgrades. Winstar Lighting Technologies was excited to note that a brighter look is one of the latest changes. An LED lighting scheme is part of an ongoing project guided by the arena’s management firm, Spectra.

Spectra manages 14 such venues, all with LED lighting. The firm has done an overhaul of all the older venues, and as a result they are saving trillions of watts each year. That amounts to $560,000 – enough power for 400 homes. We’re sure that you’ll agree with our Winstar Lighting Technologies team that this is quite impressive!

Rob Brooks co-owns the center’s operator, BDH Development and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He said, “…LED lighting allows us to amplify the fan and team experience through a variety of ways. It helps us to provide an enhanced game presentation, in addition to increased clarity for fans attending an event, and better climate control which leads to better ice conditions for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, all while reducing operating costs. We found this innovative solution to be a win-win situation for us.”

Winstar Lighting Technologies is an expert in LEDs; we love to see these types of results because they confirm our commitment to energy efficient lighting. The PPL Center is the perfect example of the way they can enhance a community. Are they used in the public areas of your town?
